The UK Government has announced a relaxation of the entrance requirements for international visitors that were introduced after the emergence of the Omicron variant.
All international visitors arriving into England after 4am on Friday 7th January will no longer need to take a pre-departure test before travelling to England - if they are fully vaccinated.
In addition they will not need to self-isolate whilst they await the results of their Day 2 COVID-19 test which must be taken in England - allowing them to continue their holiday as planned.
From 4am Sunday 9th January - international arrivals can also choose to take a lateral flow test instead of a PCR test for their Day 2 test in England. As before, these Day 2 tests must be pre-booked before departing for England.
This relaxation in the rules is great news for international visitors - allowing visitors to make the most of their days in England and hopefully reduce some of the stress and burden from before!
