It is with sad news that this afternoon, on the 8th September 2022, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II has passed away. It is the end of an era for the British public and many overseas. Queen Elizabeth II was the UK's longest reigning monarch, reigning for 70 years, she lived to the grand age of 96. For many such as myself all we have known is the Queen. She was widely respected throughout the country. Listening to the Queen's Speech was for example a Christmas tradition in my family. King Charles III now takes over as the country's monarch. Camilla now has the title of Queen Consort.
RIP Queen Elizabeth II, thank you for your service and duty.
