Stonehenge has released the dates and times for Inner Circle experiences up to the end of September 2025. These inner circle experiences offer a unique way to visit Stonehenge, the most famous rocks in the country and possibly the world!
Operated when the site is closed to the general public the Stonehenge Inner Circle experience allows you to go inside the ancient stone circle, an area which is normally off-limits to the general public. This gives you the chance to get right up to these incredible stones which, as this photo shows, helps you to appreciate just how big some of them are! You can also see features which are not possible on a normal access tour and if you like your photography you should leave with some fantastic photos! The experience is split into a tour around the stone circle and then a tour inside the circle.
The Inner Circle experiences are offered just after sunrise and before the sun has set. One downside is that this may mean that the Visitor Centre will be closed during your visit but don't worry - you will have me with you to help explain about the history and theories behind Stonehenge! If you opt for a morning tour this could also mean a very early start but I will bring tea and coffee to make sure you have all the caffeine you need to enjoy the site and if it means you will miss your hotel breakfast I may be able to stop at a charming village pub for breakfast before we return to Bath.
The price of my Stonehenge Inner Circle Tour is a total of £290. This is based on a pick-up and drop-off in Bath. It does not include our entrance tickets which you will need to purchase before the tour. For experiences after March the price of an adult ticket is £70, a child ticket is £40. My ticket will cost £54 so if you are 2 adults, the total ticket price will be £194 (£70 x2 +£54 x1). I can customise the tour to include other sites e.g. Bath, villages, Avebury, Salisbury Cathedral. Please contact me for more details and prices.
The inner circle tickets do sell out, often months in advance, so if you are interested in this experience do get in touch as soon as possible. You can read more about the tour here. If you are unable to get tickets do not worry - you can still visit Stonehenge as part of a normal access. You won't be able to go inside the stone circle but you do get close to the stones (at one point you are just a few metres from a couple of the stones) and I will be doing my best to give you a great experience :) Stonehenge without a guide can be just a bunch of rocks but with a guide it can be so much more! Book a tour and I look forward to proving this when I take you there!
