Spring is one of my favourite seasons in Britain. The countryside comes alive with beautiful colours as trees and flowers start to blossom. If you take a walk through woodlands between mid-April and late May you may come across swathes of Bluebells which turn the ground blue and you may notice the familiar smell of garlic as the wild garlic starts to flower. They are a beautiful sight to behold.
The Bluebells and wild garlic are already flowering in the woodlands and gardens around Bath. Should you wish to see these during your tour of Bath do let me know and I would be happy to show you.
Interesting facts: Approx. 50% of the world's bluebells grow in the UK. It is illegal to pick or destroy bluebells and it can take years for bluebells to recover when trampled on so please do take care when taking photos.
