The Thermae Bath Spa is re-opening from the 1st September giving visitors to Bath the chance to once again experience the country's only hot springs. Visitors will be able to enjoy the outdoor rooftop pool and the larger indoor pool as well as treatments. At this time the spa's Wellness Suite (containing steam rooms and an infrared sauna) will remain closed. Thermae Bath Spa is restricting numbers so advance bookings are strongly recommended. Children under the age of 16 are not permitted within the spa. For more information, please visit the Thermae Bath Spa website: https://www.thermaebathspa.com/
Another unique experience for visitors staying in Bath is a tour of the Royal Gardens at Highgrove. Highgrove is the private residence of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall. A passionate gardener and advocate of organic gardening the Prince of Wales designed the gardens at Highgrove and on select dates they are open for visitors to enjoy on a tour led by one of their Garden Guides. From the 9th September the Highgrove Individual Garden Tour will be resuming until the 3rd October.
Visitor numbers for these tours have been reduced to 12 people per tour so I suspect they will quickly sell out. For more information, please visit the Highgrove Gardens website: https://www.highgrovegardens.com/products/individual-garden-tour-1
Highgrove is located approximately 45 minutes from Bath so private transport is required to get there. Bath Insider Tours offers transfers if you do not have a vehicle or alternatively Bath Insider Tours can customise a tour for the day e.g. a walking tour of Bath, lunch and a garden tour at Highgrove. If this is of interest please get in contact.
